Having been introduced to all aspects of wildlife by my primary school teacher I have been interested in both flora and fauna all my life.  I use to ride my bike 50 miles each way from my home in Somerset to Slimbridge many times birdwatching, which became a passion, but soon photography, of birds in particular, took over.  Joining the ZPC at Eric Hosking's suggestion was a turning point in my photography.  Helpful criticism from so many famous names greatly improved my photography.  Now, sadly most of them are no longer with us.  My main interest has been birds, I kept and exhibited Budgerigars for 35 years.  However, flowers, mammals, butterflies and dragonflies greatly enthral me, particularly British species.
