Commenced serious nature photography in the late 1970's.  Elected to membership of the ZPC in 1979.  Elected Hon. Secretary in 1982, a position still held.  Served the club as President in 1998/99.  Elected to the Royal Photographic Society Nature Distinctions Panel in 1992, serving as Chairman of the Panel from 1995 - 2001.  Co-director of Hosking Tours, a nature photographic Tour company, organising and leading nature photo-tours world-wide.  Subject interests have broadened in recent years, moving from mainly birds and mammals into areas including plants, amphibians and butterflies.
