I have had a keen interest in photography for as long as I can remember. Initially it was all monochrome but switching exclusively to colour, both negatives & slides, as my interest in nature photography grew. However, it was not until I retired, some 20 years ago, from a demanding but fulfilling career in banking that I could devote more time to my photographic interests. I lost no time in creating a darkroom at home and set about learning how to print in colour. It was at just this time that I lost my wife to cancer and the darkroom became my refuge. In the fullness of time I was rescued by Barbara, a fellow member of our local photographic society, and we were married in 1995. Since then we have travelled to Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, North America and the Falklands. We both became Fellows of the RPS and are now wholly digital in both camera capture and printing output.
